While the terms "sustainable packaging" and "eco-friendly packaging" are often used interchangeably, they have subtle differences.... Eco-friendly packaging goes beyond just being environmentally conscious. It refers to packaging that remains functional while minimizing its impact on the environment.... To be truly sustainable, packaging manufacturing must utilize resources efficiently, prioritize materials with low carbon footprints, optimize production processes, adhere to ethical practices, and develop materials that can be recycled. These efforts yield not only environmental benefits but also clear economic and social advantages. 3, record 1, English, - sustainable%20packaging

4, record 1, French, - emballage%20%C3%A9coresponsable

The pig cycle is a widely recognised phenomenon and is caused by expansion of the breeding herd at times of high profitability, a subsequent increase in supply leading to overproduction, a decrease in price for finished pigs to clear the market and, if these conditions persist for long enough, a subsequent contraction of the breeding herd. The pig cycle is not an example of market failure, indeed it could be argued that the market works perfectly in terms of the transmission of price signals; it is the lag between signal and response that causes the inefficiencies. It is therefore actually the interaction of natural production cycles with perfectly competitive behaviour by producers rather than the inadequate provision of price information that results in resource misallocation. 2, record 13, English, - pig%20cycle

Bioenergetic analysis, often called bioenergetic therapy or simply bioenergetics, is a form of mind/body psychotherapy, founded by Alexander Lowen MD, that examines personality in terms of the body and its energetic process. Respiration and metabolism energize our bodies. Movement and the production of sound are the ways in which we discharge energy. How much energy we have and how we utilize it determines our capacity to respond to life situations. 3, record 23, English, - bioenergetic%20analysis

1, record 38, French, - formule%20libre

Steroid hormones can be grouped in various classes according to a number of criteria. Based on their chemical structure they can belong to one of the classes(series) mentioned above(e. g. "a pregnane derivative "). If their site of production is considered to be more important, one can distinguish for example between "ovarian" or "vadrenal" steroids. If their biological function is essential, terms like a glucocorticoid or sex steroids can be used. Finally, classification can also be based on their molecular actions("an estrogen-receptor agonist"), or biochemical effects. 1, record 42, English, - pregnane%20derivative

A contestable market is one into which entry is abs olutely free, and exit is absolutely costless. We use "freedom of entry" in Stigler's sense, not to mean that it is costless or easy, but that the entrant suffers no disadvantage in terms of production technique or perceived product quality relative to the incumbent, and that potential entrants find it appropriate to evaluate the profitability of entry in terms of the incumbent firms’ pre-entry prices. In short, it is a requirement of contestability that there be no cost discrimination against entrants. Absolute freedom of exit, to us, is one way to guarantee freedom of entry. By this we mean that any firm can leave without impediment, and in the process of departure can recoup any costs incurred in the entry process. 3, record 44, English, - contestable%20market

2, record 51, French, - grille%20de%20gestion

The foundation for the experimentation process is a database of assertions which O’Shea calls a "theory of instruction" for the domain. Each assertion in the database indicates the expected results of a specific experimental modification performed on the production rules. Results are expressed in terms of possible or definite effects on teaching performance with respect to one goal. For instance, an assertion could say that spending more resources on selecting appropriate problems might improve the performance of students on the post-test. Thus these assertions represent a corpus of possibly useful experiments. After choosing one of the four goals, the system selects all the assertions that propose modifications leading to a possible improvement with respect to that goal; then it executes the changes these assertions suggest. Statistical tests evaluate the variations in performance caused by the modifications, with respect to each of the four goals. The overall improvement of the system is then computed as a linear function of the goals’ respective variations. If a significant improvement is achieved, the modifications are adopted. In addition, as a form of learning involving some serendipity, new assertions are added to the original database to record the effects of the experiment on the different goals. In this way, not only does the system improve, but its ability to set up experiments is also extended. Obviously, it must have had a minimal number of assertions to start with. Figure 6. 6. gives an overview of the flow of information through the self-improving component. 1, record 52, English, - theory%20of%20instruction

A method used by engineers involved in a study to identify the most effective means of achieving the objective(the production desired). It includes a systematic review of the materials, work-force, services and facilities required to achieve the objectives. It revolves around the conducting of time and movement studies and the evaluation of the work-force as well as materials. The engineers express the requirements in material terms : hours of labour, tons of material, number of supervisors, etc. Using the appropriate prices, the material needs are translated into dollars. 1, record 54, English, - engineering%20value
