A high-growth company that has been increasing its revenues by at least 20% annually for four years or more, starting from a revenue base of at least $1 million.

The gazelles... They are established businesses that are already posting outstanding sales growth.... They have the necessary financial capacity and determination to commit to an intensive growth strategy. Most of them are in the manufacturing sector as well as the high value-added tertiary sector.

OBS

A gazelle company is said to have more than doubled its revenues over a four-year period and to be growing two or three times faster than other companies in the same sector.

Selon l'OCDE [Organisation de coopération et de développement économiques], les gazelles sont un sous-groupe des entreprises à forte croissance qui englobe des entreprises nées au plus cinq ans avant la fin de la période d'observation de trois ans. Les gazelles comptent des salariés depuis cinq ans au maximum; la croissance annuelle moyenne de leur effectif (ou de leur chiffre d’affaires) est supérieure à 20 % sur une période de trois ans, pour un effectif d’au moins dix employés au début de la période.

Les gazelles […] Ce sont des entreprises établies qui connaissent déjà une croissance hors norme de leurs ventes. […] Elles ont la capacité financière et la volonté nécessaires pour s'investir dans une stratégie de croissance intensive. Elles sont issues principalement du secteur manufacturier ainsi que du secteur tertiaire à forte valeur ajoutée.
