The System uses a constellation of satellites placed in orbit at an altitude of 20,178 km. They complete their circular orbits in half a sidereal day, that is 11 hr 57 min. These satellites emit two sets of signals on 1,227MHz [megahertz] and 1,575 MHz in the L-band. These signals carry the transmitting satellites’ identification and position, as well as the time and other information. The airborne equipment is entirely passive. It consists of a receiver whose position is determined by measuring its distance from four of the system’s satellites. 9, record 11, English, - Navigation%20Satellite%20Timing%20and%20Ranging%20Global%20Positioning%20System

If the device fails to complete a satisfactory close operation whilst the close signal is maintained, then attempts at further reclosing(pumping) are inhibited. An anti-pumping can be achieved in the closing control circuit in various ways, either by using circuit-breaker mechanism auxiliary switches or a timing relay. An amplifier-based system having pulsed output includes an amplifier for amplifying a time varying voltage signal to produce an output voltage signal. A voltage-to-current(V-1) converter converts the output voltage signal into a current signal. An output stage including a current integrator integrates the current signal to generate an integrated voltage. An amplitude to time converter generates a pulse train from the integrated voltage, wherein a timing of the pulses in the pulse train represents the original time varying voltage signal. The pulse train representation permits transmission and accurate remote reconstruction of the original time varying voltage signal, such as signals generated by electrodes implanted inside a subject, including neural signals. 2, record 18, English, - amplitude%2Dto%2Dtime%20converter

Fine Beam. The fine beam mode is intended for applications which require the best spatial resolution available from the RADARSAT system. The azimuth resolution is 8. 4 m, with range resolution 9. 1 m to 7. 8 m from F1 to F5. Since the radar operates with a higher sampling rate in this mode than in any of the other beam modes, the ground swath coverage has to be reduced to a nominal 50 km in order to keep the downlink signal within its allocated bandwidth. Originally, five fine beam positions, F1 to F5, were available to cover the far range of the swath, the incidence angle range from 37 to 47 degrees. By modifying timing parameters, 10 new positions have been added with offset ground coverage. Fuel in the D4D is pressurised to an extremely high 135mpa within the "common rail" that feeds all four cylinders (older diesel engines have a separate pipe leading from the pump to each cylinder). The high pressure injection creates better fuel atomisation for complete burning and increased power output. And because there is less fuel wasted through inefficient combustion, the D4D delivers better fuel economy too. 3, record 21, English, - high%20pressure%20common%20rail

A common rail engine is designed to supply constant fuel pressure to electronically controlled injectors through a shared fuel reservoir. This means that the fuel supply is not dependent on the engine revs. A common rail system is built around four basic components : a high pressure pump with pressure regulator and inlet metering valve, a rail which contains a pressurised reserve of fuel, injectors which inject precise amounts of fuel into the combustion chamber as required and a Diesel Control Unit-the ’brain’ of the system, which precisely controls injector flow and timing as well as rail pressure while continuously monitoring the operating conditions of the engine. 4, record 21, English, - high%20pressure%20common%20rail

Time transfer by laser link project, T2L2... T2L2 sends short bursts of light(100 picoseconds) between clocks on Earth and clocks in space to synchronize them. The experiment, proposed by the Observatoire de la Côte d’Azur(Côte d’Azur Observatory), uses laser ranging stations on the ground and a detection/timing system including a retroreflector in space. Each laser station is linked to the clock on Earth to be synchronized and the onboard detection/timing system is linked to a spaceborne clock. 3, record 27, English, - time%20transfer%20by%20laser%20link

Because medium-scale integration(MSI) and large-scale integration(LSI) generally imply digital integrated circuits(ICS), equipment intended to test LSI/MSI devices usually comprises a digital test system. Although manually operated benchtop units are available to test digital logic in a production environment, automated test systems are dictated. Thus, in general, LSI/MSI testers are automated, programmable systems that provide sophisticated test patterns at high repetition rates(usually, rated device operating frequency), with precise edge timing and control of all test parameters. Employed primarily for testing at wafer probe and for final package test(interfaced to a wafer prober or a high-speed, sort devices into predetermined categories based upon test performance, and reject defective devices. A current trend-particularly for semiconductor memories-is to integrate test systems with burn-in systems. 1, record 37, English, - LSI%2FMSI%20tester

A knock sensor was added to increase ignition performance. This is a piezoelectric accelerometer sensor that is designed to vibrate at the same frequency as the engine knock(pre-detonation). The sensor operates in consort with the EEC IV engine control system to retard ignition timing and hopefully eliminate the detonation before real engine damage occurs. 2, record 39, English, - accelerometer%20sensor
