The tomato pinworm(TPW) [Keiferia lycopersicella(Walsingham) ] is primarily a pest in tropical and subtropical areas of the world... Solanaceous crops such as tomato, potato, and eggplant are the preferred host plants of TPW... The tomato pinworm attacks both the leaves and fruits of tomato. Tunnelling or mining by larvae in the leaves is the most common type of injury. Initially, the mine is long and narrow, but it later widens to become blotch-shaped. Older larvae may fold the leaf over itself, or knit 2 leaves together, between which they continue to feed, causing large blotches. In severe infestations, all leaves on a plant are attacked giving the crop a burnt appearance. 4, record 1, English, - tomato%20pinworm

Spotted wilt is common on tomato, potato, tobacco, lettuce, pea, celery, and other vegetables... In tomato there are bronze, ringlike secondary lesions; plants are stunted with some necrosis; there may be a yellowish mosaic with leaf distortion. Fruits are often marked with concentric rings of pale red, yellow, or white... Transmission [of the virus] is by onion and flower thrips. 2, record 2, English, - tomato%20spotted%20wilt

2, record 2, French, - taches%20bronz%C3%A9es%20de%20la%20tomate

Walnut wilt is a noninfectious disease which causes the sudden wilt and death of many plant species. The problem occurs in the beds of sensitive plants growing near walnut trees ... The cause is an active compound known as juglone produced by these trees. Juglone has been isolated from the roots, leaves, bark, and husks. The compound can also be found in a narrow zone in the soil surrounding the living roots. Because of this limited distribution of the toxin, the position of juglone producing roots underground is reflected in the pattern of wilting plants above ground ... Affected plants wilt suddenly and often show a browning of the vascular tissues just under the outer layers of the main stem ... Some plants with mild tolerance may show stunting, lack of flower development, and/or lack of vigor. 2, record 3, English, - walnut%20wilt

2, record 3, French, - fl%C3%A9trissure%20du%20noyer
