In addition, sampling components, such as the raw exhaust transfer duct and sample lines, must be heated to prevent water condensation.

Le perfectionnement des RHTRG [réacteurs à haute température refroidis par gaz] aura pour but d'améliorer la performance et de prolonger la durée de vie des centrales. Pour le premier point, de nombreuses recherches sont actuellement consacrées à ce que l'on appelle le cycle à turbine à gaz, où un gaz à haute température alimente directement une turbine à gaz ce qui permet d'obtenir un rendement thermique très élevé et un coût de l'énergie très intéressant ainsi qu'à la production de chaleur industrielle à très haute température.

This theory is based on the fact that the saturation vapour pressure with respect to ice is lower than that with respect to supercooled liquid water at the same temperature. If both types of particles are present and the total water content is high enough, the ice crystals would grow by sublimation at the expense of the liquid drops which would lose mass by evaporation. When the ice crystals become heavy enough they would fall as snow.

It has long been known that some components of wood are relatively easily hydrolyzed. The application of hydrolysis for the degradation of certain carbohydrates to low-molecular sugars is based on experience gained in the total hydrolysis of wood.... During the Second World War, a number of pulp mills were built in Germany designed to use deciduous woods or straw in an alkaline cook with a prehydrolysis. The hydrolyzates were processed for the production of fodder yeast. By this process, deciduous woods and straw were treated at 120° to 130°C with 0. 5% to 1% sulfuric acid and, in a second stage, with a conventional kraft cooking liquor(22% sulfidity) with a maximum cooking time and temperature of 3 hours and 165°C to produce pulps with a high [alpha]-cellulose content.
