TRABECULAR MESHWORK [6 records]

Record 1 2015-01-12

English

Subject field(s)
  • Eye Surgery
DEF

A technique used to help pull the peripheral iris away from the trabecular meshwork in the angle of the eye.

CONT

Iridoplasty, also known as gonioplasty, uses low-energy laser burns to the peripheral iris in order to widen the anterior chamber angle and/or break peripheral anterior synechiae.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Chirurgie de l'œil
DEF

Record 2 2015-01-12

English

Subject field(s)
  • Eye Surgery
DEF

A surgical procedure used in the treatment of glaucoma to relieve intraocular pressure by removing part of the eye's trabecular meshwork and adjacent structures.

OBS

In this procedure, the surgeon creates a passage in the sclera (the white part of the eye) for draining excess eye fluid. A flap is created that allows fluid to escape, but which does not deflate the eyeball. A small bubble of fluid called a "bleb" often forms over the opening on the surface of the eye, which is a sign that fluid is draining out into the space between the sclera and conjunctiva.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Chirurgie de l'œil
DEF

[...] ablation chirurgicale d'une partie du trabéculum [...]

Record 3 2013-12-17

English

Subject field(s)
  • The Eye
  • Morphology and General Physiology
DEF

The area of tissue in the eye located around the base of the cornea, near the ciliary body ... responsible for draining the aqueous humor from the eye via the anterior chamber (the chamber on the front of the eye covered by the cornea).

French

Domaine(s)
  • Oeil
  • Morphologie et physiologie générale
DEF

Record 4 2013-01-22

English

Subject field(s)
  • Eye Surgery
DEF

[A] surgical opening of the trabecular meshwork in congenital glaucoma.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Chirurgie de l'œil
DEF

Record 5 2012-11-05

English

Subject field(s)
  • Visual Disorders
DEF

[A form of] glaucoma in which contact of the iris with the peripheral cornea excludes aqueous humor from the trabecular drainage meshwork.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Troubles de la vision
DEF

  • Eye Surgery
DEF

The increased intraocular pressure caused by growth of connective tissue and new blood vessels upon the trabecular meshwork.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Troubles de la vision
  • Chirurgie de l'œil
DEF
