A number of different variants trace their ancestry back to Hebb. Perhaps the simplest version is : When unit A and unit B are simultaneously excited, increase the strength of the connection between them. A natural extension of this rule to cover the positive and negative activation values is :Adjust the strength of the connection between units A and B in proportion to the product of their simultaneous activation. For simplicity of reference, we will call this the Hebb rule. 1, record 1, English, - Hebb%20rule

2, record 1, French, - r%C3%A8gle%20de%20Hebb

Test pattern : Selection of the TEST mode energizes test circuits to produce a specific pattern on the indicator. Reference to this test pattern provides a means of adjusting the trace adjust and erase rate controls and also provides a system self check if malfunction is suspected. The test pattern is simply a display of artificial signals that have been internally processed to confirm normal operation over the complete operating range of the system. 2, record 2, English, - test%20pattern
