Black box theaters have their roots in the European avant-garde of the early 20th century. The black box theaters became popular and increasingly widespread in the 1960s as rehearsal spaces. Almost any large room can be transformed into a "black box" with the aid of paint or curtains, making black box theaters an easily accessible option for theater artists... Tumor necrosis factor(TNF) was originally discovered as a serum protein with necrotizing effects on certain transplantable mouse tumors in vivo and cytotoxic effects against some transformed cells in vitro. The TNF family consists of two proteins designated TNF-alpha, also called cachectin, and TNF-beta, also called lymphotoxin, which are pleiotropic cytokines that can mediate a wide variety of biological effects. TNF-beta is produced by activated lymphocytes, whereas TNF-alpha is mostly produced by activated macrophages. 5, record 26, English, - tumour%20necrosis%20factor

The technology of pneumatic impact wrenches is different from that of other portable fastening machines with rotor stalling which operate on the basis of the dynamic stall torque. After a certain movement of the rotor and of the moving masses, all or most of the rotational kinetic energy is transformed in the form of impacts. These impacts are received tangentially on the output shaft, which is not directly mechanically linked with the rotor, thus creating a succession of instantaneous rotational torques of irregular values which are transmitted to the part to be screwed. The number of impacts per revolution would depend on the design of the impact wrench. 1, record 29, English, - pneumatic%20impact%20wrench

Its core program has always been one-to-one visitation of men and women in prison to offer friendship and support while they are incarcerated, and when they return to the community. 3, record 51, French, - cycle%20de%20l%27azote

Hoarfrost [is] a deposit of interlocking ice crystals formed by direct sublimation on objects, usually those of small diameter freely exposed to the air, such as tree branches, plant stems and leaf edges, wires, and poles. Also, frost may form on the skin of an aircraft when a cold aircraft flies into warm and moist air or when it passes through air that is supersaturated with water vapor. Hoarfrost is formed similarly to the way dew is formed except that the temperature of the frosted object must be below freezing. Frost forms when air with a dew point below freezing is brought to saturation by cooling. In addition to its formation on freely exposed objects (air hoar), hoarfrost also forms inside unheated buildings and vehicles, in caves, in crevasses (crevasse hoar), on snow surfaces (surface hoar), and in air spaces within snow, especially below a snow crust (depth hoar). Hoarfrost is more fluffy and feathery than rime, which in turn is lighter than glaze. Hoarfrost is designated light or heavy (frost) depending upon the amount and uniformity of deposition. 6, record 76, English, - hoar%20frost

Ottawa : Health Canada, c2007. Canada's first food guide, the Official Food Rules, was introduced to the public in July 1942. This guide acknowledged wartime food rationing, while endeavoring to prevent nutritional deficiencies and to improve the health of Canadians. Since 1942, the food guide has been transformed many times-it has adopted new names, new looks, and new messages, yet has never wavered from its original purpose of guiding food selection and promoting the nutritional health of Canadians. The title of Canada's food guides has changed over time. Canada's Official Food Rules(1942) became Canada's Food Rules(1944, 1949), then Canada's Food Guide(1961, 1977, 1982). Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating(1992) has now evolved to Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide(2007). The title changes signify an evolution in the positioning and philosophy of the food guide. This report documents the processes and influences that shaped the development of Canada's food guides, the changes that occurred from the 1942 Official Food Rules to the 2007 Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide, and the strategies that were used to encourage Canadians to follow the guides. 1, record 83, English, - Eating%20Well%20with%20Canada%26rsquo%3Bs%20Food%20Guide

The occupier's duty to a licensee was traditionally expressed as a duty to prevent damage from concealed dangers or traps of which he has actual knowledge. Traps and concealed danger are hidden dangers which are not obvious or to be expected under the circumstances. Whether a dangerous condition is a trap or a concealed danger is not always self-evident. For example, what is an obvious danger in daylight may be transformed into a concealed danger after dark. 1, record 98, English, - trap

1, record 98, French, - pi%C3%A8ge

The general heuristic called means-end analysis is related to specific task performing : the problem statement is transformed into a target or goal state that represents the solution to the problem. This state provides a means of identifying a proper solution to the problem. The program then identifies sequentially the operations that reduce the difference between the new present state and the goal state. 4, record 99, English, - means%2Dends%20analysis
