In December 2013, WTO [World Trade Organization] members concluded negotiations on a Trade Facilitation Agreement at the Bali Ministerial Conference, as part of a wider "Bali Package." Since then, WTO members have undertaken a legal review of the text. ... In line with the decision adopted in Bali, WTO members adopted on 27 November 2014 a Protocol of Amendment to insert the new Agreement into Annex 1A of the WTO Agreement. The Trade Facilitation Agreement will enter into force once two-thirds of members have completed their domestic ratification process.

L'initiative conjointe canado-américaine de précontrôle en transit prévoit que, dans les grands aéroports au Canada, les voyageurs en transit au Canada à destination des États-Unis ne seront pas tenus de passer aux douanes canadiennes et pourront se rendre directement à la zone de précontrôle des États-Unis. Encore à l'état de projet, cette initiative profitera tant aux aéroports qu'aux compagnies aériennes au Canada. Par conséquent, notre économie profitera de cette initiative, car la compétitivité des services de voyages offerts aux touristes et aux voyageurs par affaires au Canada en sera accrue.

In the Linear concept... aircraft are parked on the apron at the face of the terminals in perpendicular, angled or parallel parked positions. An airside corridor may be located parallel to the terminal face nearest the apron, with access to the terminal and aircraft gate positions at intervals. The linear configuration can be either centralized or decentralized. Ease of access and relatively short walking distances for originating passengers can result if the passenger is delivered to a point at or near his gate of departure by a vehicular circulation system(road and/or transit), which becomes a more dominant element in this concept than in the other concepts. The terminal area will be fully decentralized by locating the departure lounges, ticketing and baggage areas at each aircraft gate position.
