One of the heritage places managed by Parks Canada. The designation Port of Québec in the 19th Century Interpretation Centre" was established at the December 11, 1989 meeting of the Canadian Parks Service Toponymy and Terminology Committee(TTC) and changed to its actual form by the Parks Canada TTC on April 8, 1994.

OBS

Named after the "Old Port of Québec", the EN equivalent of a ward having a FR original name. The designation refers to the ward, not to the port (the old port of Québec). As "Québec" designates an historically and currently inhabited place, it must stay the same in English. In this toponym, the EN generic is "interpretation centre".

La désignation réfère au quartier plutôt qu'au port (le vieux port de Québec). «Québec» désignant le lieu historiquement et actuellement habité doit demeurer tel en anglais. Dans ce toponyme, le générique FR est «centre d'interprétation».

The Urban Transportation Development Corporation was a corporation created in the 1979s by the Government of Ontario, Canada, to develop transit vehicles for the province's public transit authorities; largely this work would be for the province's largest authority, the Toronto Transit Commission(TTC) for whom the H4/H5 subway cars and ALRV streetcars were manufactured for. It had its main plant just west of Kingston, in nearby Millhaven.

L'UTDC ou Urban Transportation Development Corporation était une société canadienne créée dans les années 1970 par le gouvernement de la province d'Ontario. L'usine de l'UTDC se trouvait à l'ouest de Kingston. Elle a développé des véhicules de transport pour les autorités de transport publiques de la province d'Ontario, et en grande partie pour la plus grande entre elle, celle de Toronto, la Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) pour qui elle fabriqua les voitures modèle H4 et H5 de son métro et les tramways CLRV et ALRV.

Until 1997, the expression "mountain parks" (or "the four mountain parks") meant the Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho National Parks, all in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Since 1997, the expression encompasses the same four parks as well as the Glacier National Park located where Purcell and Selkirk Mountains meet, and Mount Revelstoke National Park in the Monashee Mountains, all these mountains being part of the Columbia Mountains.

Individually, each of the six parks is a "mountain park". Since 2002, the official name of these parks is said with the generic "National Park of Canada". As the name of an administrative region of Parks Canada, the designation becomes "Mountain Parks".
