Rope generally consists of three or more strands cabled or braided together, with or without a core, with a finished diameter of not less than 4 mm. Based on construction, ropes are grouped into laid and braided. In the laid rope, fibres are twisted into rope yarn and two more yarns are twisted in the opposite direction to produce folded yarns. Three or four folded yarns are laid in the direction opposite to the twist of folded yarns to produce the laid rope.

If the grounded-grid amplifier were a perfect amplifier, a bent signal would be amplified bent. However, the grounded-grid amplifier, like all amplifiers, is not perfect; it bends just as much as the cathode follower does. Now, do the two circuits bend in the same direction or opposite directions? Since the common-cathode produces such a clean output, the answer can only be that they bend in opposite directions, so the grounded-grid amplifier undoes the cathode follower's twist of the signal by twisting in the other direction.

A unicellular, natural fiber composed of almost pure cellulose. As taken from plants, the fiber is found in lengths of 3/8 to 2 inches. For marketing, the fibers are graded and classed for length, strength, and color.

The cotton fiber, or staple... goes through a process called carding. Carding aligns and orients the cotton fiber or "staple" in the same direction. Carding further cleans the cotton. Cotton fibers are further aligned and blending is completed as multiple strands of sliver are drawn into one strand.
