In 1973, PICA(M) Corporation Berhad("PICA") was founded by a group of visionary veterans from the banking and finance scene, Private Investment Company for Asia(PICA) S. A., an international financial consortium formed to promote viable investment in Asia, mainly in Malaysia. Consequently PICA was embraced under the umbrella of Elders Finance Group Asia("Elders"), the financial services arm of Elders IXL Limited, one of Australia's largest companies providing merchant banking and financial services spanned across the Asia Pacific Region.
