[A gamma spectrometry method used] to determine the isotopic composition of plutonium [or uranium] samples without external efficiency calibration.

OBS

Its major drawback arises from the fact that Pu-242 does not show useful gamma rays. This isotope abundance has therefore to be estimated using isotope correlation techniques. However, it is a non destructive technique which has proven its capability in field application as well as under laboratory conditions.

The Terrorist and Disruptive Activities(Prevention) Act, commonly known as TADA, was an Indian law active between 1985 and 1995(modified in 1987) for the prevention of terrorist activities in Punjab. It was renewed in 1989, 1991 and 1993 before being allowed to lapse in 1995 due to increasing unpopularity due to widespread allegations of abuse. The drawback was that it didn’t provide a definition of the term "terrorist". The Act does not define the term "terrorist". It presumed that the accused was guilty. It had a conviction rate of less than 1% despite the fact that, under criminal law, a confession before a police officer, even though being given under torture, was admissible as evidence in court. A special court known as TADA court was set up to hear the cases and deliver judgements pertaining to 1993 Bombay bombings.

Lors de l'établissement du bilan thermique d'une installation de conditionnement d'air, il est souvent nécessaire de tenir compte de l'inertie thermique que présentent certains assemblages de maçonnerie quant à la transmission de la chaleur au travers des murs de forte épaisseur. Il se produit alors un décalage («heat lag») dans la transmission thermique, qu'on évalue par le temps s'écoulant entre l'instant où le phénomène thermique a eu lieu (radiations solaires, par exemple) et le moment de l'apparition de son effet. Ce temps varie de 3 heures (murs en briques de 15 cm, par exemple) à 10 heures dans le cas de murs en briques pleines ou en béton de plus de 40 cm.

One drawback of both debt buyback and collateralized bonds is that the debtor country must have funds or reserves available... Debt buybacks also require a waiver of some conditions under loan agreements and warrant careful consideration of how to avoid the moral hazard problem.
