The Canadian Physical Education Association(CPEA) was founded in 1 Arthur S. Lamb of McGill University. In 1948, the association became incorporated to better serve the needs of its growing membership, an its name to the Canadian Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation(CAHPER). Stable manifolds of different fixed points cannot intersect owing to the property of uniqueness of trajectories passing through a given point in phase space since the crossing point would have two possible futures. The same holds for unstable manifolds of different fixed points(use the time-reversed system). In contrast, stable and unstable manifolds of different fixed points can intersect each other along special sets of trajectories called heteroclinic trajectories.

Such trajectories come asymptotically from one fixed point along its unstable manifold and reach asymptotically the other along its stable manifold.
