For ALIX [Atlantic Littoral Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Experiment] UAV [unmanned aerial vehicle] flights, a Landing and Recovery Element(LRE) will be established at Goose Bay and a Remote Operations Centre(ROC) will be established in Ottawa. The LRE will provide facilities for UAV flight operations, and the ROC will handle all Beyond Line Of Sight(BLOS) communications with the UAV.
