Bioventing is an in situ remediation technology that uses indigenous microorganisms to biodegrade organic constituents adsorbed to soils in the unsaturated zone. Soils in the capillary fringe and the saturated zone are not affected. In bioventing, the activity of the indigenous bacteria is enhanced by inducing air(or oxygen) flow into the unsaturated zone(using extraction or injection wells) and, if necessary, by adding nutrients. 3, record 1, English, - bioventing

La bioaération est une forme de biodégradation selon laquelle l'oxygène est introduit sous forme d'air dans des sols contaminés, mais non saturés, au moyen d'un système de puits d'extraction et d'injection. 2, record 1, French, - bioventilation
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT

Karstic aquifers can be decomposed in three main parts corresponding to different flow regimes... :-the non karstic impluvium comprises all poorly permeable surfaces which allows a superficial runoff and constitutes the first degree of organisation of the drainage system. It may contain superficial water storage and could be sensitive to evapotranspiration.-... a more permeable zone called "unsaturated karst"...-The "saturated karst"... 2, record 7, English, - impluvium
