Audible alarm. Battery operated audible alarms should be equipped with a battery check feature or other means to verify the proper operation of the alarm system. This will significantly improve the radiation safety in the department by alerting staff to an unsafe situation.

Alarme sonore. Les systèmes d'alarme sonore fonctionnant à l'aide d'une pile devraient être munis d'un dispositif pour vérifier que le système fonctionne bien. Ceci devrait améliorer de façon significative la radioprotection au département en avertissant le personnel d'une situation non sécuritaire.
