In a parallel turn, the skier transfers his weight from the downhill ski to the uphill ski with a flexion(unweighting) and extension(weighting the then uphill ski to make it the downhill one). Pour exécuter un virage parallèle, le skieur, alors en traversée, fait une flexion et un planté de bâton aval, puis une extension au moment où son corps passe vis-à-vis le bâton.
