Deltas consist of three physiographic parts called the upper delta plain, the lower delta plain, and the subaqueous delta.... the lower delta plain is occasionally covered by tidal water. For this reason, the boundary between the upper delta plain and the lower delta plain is determined by the maximum tidal elevation. Features and deposits in the lower delta plain are the result of both fluvial and marine processes. Tidal flats, mangrove swamps, beach ridges, and brackish-water bays and marshes are common in this zone. 3, record 1, English, - lower%20delta%20plain

It is essential to an understanding of legal surveying to appreciate that, at common law, the first creation of a boundary or the demarcation of the extent of rights or ownership in land is absolute and will remain in its original unaltered position for all time. This statement is, however, beguilingly simple. Having said that an original boundary is unalterable, we must also appreciate that the retracement of an original boundary is an exercise in the assessment of evidence.("Law Society of Upper Canada, Real Estate and Landlord and Tenant", 1986-87, p. 95). 1, record 8, English, - original%20boundary

A Bx or BCx horizon of high bulk density and consistency that is firm and brittle when moist, and hard to extremely hard when dry. Commonly it has bleached fracture planes separating very coarse prismatic units, and frequently the secondary structure is platy. Usually the fragic horizon is similar in color to the parent material but differs from it in structure, consistency, and bulk density. Air-dried clods slake when immersed in water. The upper boundary is usually abrupt and clear but the lower boundary is diffuse.

Holland and Lambert... carried out Rb-Sr isotopic analyses on a set of 13 samples of pegmatite but the data do not form a single coherent isochron and are, therefore, difficult to interpret. A selected nine-point isochron implies a crystallisation age of 1663 [more or less] 22 Ma with an initial 87Sr/86Sr ratio of 0. 705, coincident with that of the Tollie gneisses.... Holland and Lambert considered that the scatter of points might be the product of an open isotopic system involving variable loss of 87Sr into the host gneisses. If this were the case and if there were no comparable loss of Rb, the upper boundary of the data spread(i. e. the nine-point 1663 Ma isochron) would be expected to give the closest approximation to the age. 4, record 15, English, - nine%2Dpoint%20Rb%2DSr%20isochron

A Bc horizon that is strongly cemented and usually has an abrupt upper boundary and a diffuse lower boundary. Cementation is usually strongest near the upper boundary. Ordinarily the color is similar to that of the parent material and the structure is amorphous or coarse platy. Air-dried clods do not slake when immersed in water. The duric horizon does not meet the requirements of a podzolic B horizon but may meet those of a Bt horizon. 1, record 37, English, - duric
