Poppers maculopathy is a condition characterized by bilateral sub-foveal ellipsoid zone disruption, yellow foveal spot, and reduced visual acuity. Maculopathy occurs after use of "poppers, "volatile liquid substances containing alkyl nitrites that are recreationally inhaled. Patients experience symptoms of blurred vision, central scotoma, metamorphopsia, or other central visual disturbances in the days to weeks after using poppers.... Coated Felts. Some current thinking favours the use of coated organic roofing felts instead of saturated felts for the construction of built-up roofing membranes. In this case, the bitumen required for waterproofing has already been applied in a uniform coating at the manufacturing plant, and application is essentially the sticking together of sufficient layers to give the strength required. The heavier grades of coated felt have been used for many years in this and other countries as a single-layer roofing material on simply pitched roofs of barns and sheds. The principle of free alienability soon reasserted itself, however, and various disentailing methods were devised to permit the tenant in tail in possession to bar the entail and to obtain a fee simple. These included the warranty, the fine and the common recovery. The most effective of these, the common recovery, was confirmed by the courts in Taltarums's Case in 1472. The drawbridge of ancient and medieval periods was built for military purposes. It was constructed to bridge the moat around the castle or fortified town and to be raised in case of attack. The open leaf also constituted an additional barricade across the entrance to the fortification. Many of these early structures were operated by a lever system. One end of the lever was connected to the free end of the span by chains, and the other was actually counterweighted. An arrangement of counterweights attached to chains running over pulleys and connected to the free end of the span was also much in use.
