Agent-based modeling differs from traditional, regression-based methods in that, like systems dynamics modeling, it allows for the exploration of complex systems that display non-independence of individuals and feedback loops in causal mechanisms. It is not limited to observed data and can be used to model the counterfactual or experiments that may be impossible or unethical to conduct in the real world. However, agent-based modeling is not without its limitations. The data parameters(such as the reproductive rate for infectious diseases) are often difficult to find in the literature. In addition, the validity of the model can be difficult to assess, particularly when modeling unobserved associations. 5, record 6, English, - agent%2Dbased%20modelling

This type of allocation reduces potential bias in subject assignment because it tends to neutralise known and unknown prognostic factors by spreading them evenly between the intervention and control groups. Probate of a will in some jurisdictions requires the institution of a formal proceeding, upon notice to next of kin and others in interest, while in other jurisdictions probate is "pro forma" and notice, if any, is given after the will has been admitted to probate. The chief difference between the two kinds of probate is that in the former case(called "probate in solemn form" or "formal probate") persons who receive the required notice or appear in the proceeding must therein assert any objections they may have to the admission of the will to probate and, if they fail to do so, are, in general, precluded by the entry of a decree of probate from thereafter contesting the will or objecting to its validity; while in the latter case(called "probate in common form" or "informal probate") the will is first admitted to probate and any objections and contests may be asserted after probate.... It begins with the words "to have and to hold. "The "habendum" may reduce, enlarge, explain or qualify, but not contradict or be repugnant to the estate granted. It is not essential to the deed. Record number: 97, Textual support number: 1 DEF
A range of values below and above the point estimate that has a given probability of including the true value of a given parameter, such as a treatment effect. 3, record 97, English, - confidence%20interval
Record number: 97, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The confidence interval is the area of uncertainty for the estimating of a parameter. The use of this interval reflects the fact that a study provides one estimate of a parameter, out of the many estimates that would be possible if the study were repeated several times. If an X% CI is constructed for each repetition, X% of the intervals will contain the true value of the parameter. Investigators typically use confidence intervals of 90%, 95% or 99%. Thus, a 95% confidence interval indicates that there is a 95% probability that the confidence interval calculated from a particular study includes the true value of the parameter. If the interval includes a null value (a difference in means of 0, an odds ratio or a relative risk of 1, or a correlation coefficient of 0, for example), the null hypothesis cannot be rejected. A narrow confidence interval around a point estimate indicates a more precise estimate than a wide confidence interval. 3, record 97, English, - confidence%20interval
Record number: 97, Textual support number: 2 OBS
The validity of the confidence interval depends upon knowledge of the underlying distribution of the population or assumptions about behavior of the sampling distribution. 4, record 97, English, - confidence%20interval

3, record 97, French, - intervalle%20de%20confiance
Record number: 97, Textual support number: 1 OBS
3, record 97, French, - intervalle%20de%20confiance

The validity of comparisons with this type of control group is suspect because the historical group is likely to differ from the current group in its composition, diagnosis, disease severity, measurement of outcomes, or other important ways that could influence the research findings.
