The Electronic Stability Control detects the deviation between the vehicle's trajectory and the intended direction. Without any action on the part of the driver, small amounts of braking are applied separately to each wheel and this can bring the vehicle back to the intended course. The driver maintains control of the vehicle and often does not even notice that the Stability Control system has intervened. 6, record 5, English, - electronic%20stability%20control

1, record 5, Spanish, - control%20din%C3%A1mico%20de%20estabilidad

... Assystem City Car... is remarkably easy to park, and not only because of its compact dimensions(3. 60 m long, 1. 60 m wide and 1. 60 m tall), or its light weight(only 600 kg), but also because it has three axles, a central one, with two wheels, and one wheel in each extreme of the car(front and end). These single wheel axles are the ones responsible for moving and turning the Assystem City Car. The front wheel is powered by an electrical engine with 20 kW(about 27 cv), which can push the car to 50 km/h of top speed and has 30 km of autonomy, basically what regular people need to go to work and back home every day. For the roads, there is a little combustion engine that delivers 60 cv in the rear axle. It can lead the vehicle to a top speed of 130 km/h and, with its 30 l fuel tank, can carry the Assystem City Car to up to 600 km. Both engines can be used together, what turns this car into a hybrid. This vehicle, albeit small, can carry up to five people and their luggage. It has a low gravity center, what enhances dynamics, its oval shape prevents serious accident consequences and, when visibility is low, a screen takes the place of the regular windshield and shows the driver infrared images of the road, guiding him/her safely to destination. 1, record 30, English, - Assystem%20City%20Car

Assystem City Car [...] 2, record 30, French, - Assystem%20City%20Car

Vehicle trim height is noted by height sensors. They are used to note changes in the load on the vehicle and allow the suspension to compensate for it, maintaining the ideal body height. In addition to noting load changes within the vehicle and compensating for them, some height sensors are used to inform the suspension module of road ondulations(such as railroad tracks). In addition to vehicle height, the module requires input signals to indicate which part of the vehicle needs a height correction. One sensor, located in the front of the rear axle detects load changes in the luggage compartment and passenger rear seats. The remaining two sensors are positioned at each front wheel to detect driver and passenger seat loads. 2, record 50, English, - height%20sensor

1, record 50, French, - capteur%20de%20hauteur

South Pointing Carriage is the earliest known example of a land vehicle navigation system.... historical research has only recently established that [it] had nothing to do with magnetism, [but] was based on the principle(now called "the differential odometer") that for a given change in vehicle heading, a vehicle's outer wheels travel a mathematically predictable distance farther than the inner wheels. When changing heading, a gear train driven by an... outer wheel automatically engaged and rotated a horizontal turntable to exactly offset the change in heading... a figure with an outstretched arm mounted on the turntable always pointed in the original direction.... 1, record 60, English, - South%20Pointing%20Carriage
