The hot walker's number one task is to cool out the horse and he or she must be waiting for the horse when it returns from the track. The exercise rider will stop the horse in the shed row or stall and remove the tack... and the hot walker will... then walk the horse to cool it out from the jog, gallop or breeze it had. Hot walkers walk the horse inside in the barn or in an outside oval walking ring and will stop every lap or so to offer the horse water. 3, record 17, English, - hot%20walker

It is sometimes difficult to determine whether a statement is a representation inducing the other party to contract, or a term or stipulation of the contract. It is the terms which give content to the parties’ agreement, and questions of whether a contract has been performed or breached commonly depend on ascertainment and interpretation of the terms agreed. Terms may be express, stated in the contract, or imported by reference to some other document where they are set out in full, or implied into the contract, by common law, by custom and usage, by statute, and in some other ways.(Walker, p. 1211) 2, record 25, English, - term

Principles have a dimension that rules do not - the dimension of weight or importance. When principles intersect (the policy of protecting automobile consumers intersecting with principles of freedom of contract, for example). one who must resolve the conflict has to take into account the relative weight of each. (It is an integral part of the concept of a principle that it has this dimension, that it makes sense to ask how important or how weighty it is. Rules do not have this dimension. We cannot say that one rule is more important than another within the system of rules, so that when two rules conflict one supersedes the other by virtue of its greater weight. Accounting for more than 1/3 of the total variance of the sea level pressure(SLP) field over the North Atlantic, the NAO is most pronounced during the winter months(December through March) due to an increased sea air temperature contrast(Barnston and Livezey, 1987). 4, record 53, English, - North%20Atlantic%20oscillation

Control-line model airplanes are flown in a circle, attached to a handle by a set of lines. The pilot can control the flight of the model by manipulating the handle. Flying model airplanes on lines has a long and illustrious history. The earliest attempts at "control-line" used one line attached to a long pole. The pilot would cause the airplane to climb or dive by "leading" it with the pole. The person usually credited with inventing the now widely used two line system is Jim Walker, who came up with the idea sometime in the 30s or 40s. The two line system(often referred to a "U-Control", and used on perhaps 99% of control line models) uses a triangular bellcrank to transfer the movement of the wires to the pushrod, connected to the elevator and/or flap control horns. Some Speed flyers use "monoline", which is a system that utilizes line twisting for control. 5, record 76, English, - control%2Dline%20model%20airplane

[Lenore] Walker, a clinical and forensic psychologist,... formulated the concept of the battered-woman syndrome in the 1970s, discrediting the notion that abused women stay in violent relationships because they are masochistic. Instead... such continued abuse can produce a pattern of psychological effects, including high anxiety, low self esteem and "learned helplessness" that can lead a woman to feel in such imminent danger that she kills her abuser. 3, record 93, English, - continuing%20abuse
