Self-cleaning glazing system.... Pilkington Activ [Trade Name] glass uses the sun's UV rays to gradually and continuously break down and dissolve organic dirt through what's called a photocatalytic effect. Once activated, the photocatalytic process will continue to work at night and even on cloudy days. It also goes through a process called a hydrophilic effect that reduces the surface tension of water to cause it to clean the surface and wash away dirt to leave windows clean. 2, record 2, English, - self%2Dcleaning%20glazing

4, record 2, French, - vitrage%20autonettoyant

Sometimes, instead of washing the pay-dirt from a digging as fast as it is raised, the miners stack it in "paddocks," which are spaces alongside the shaft strongly fenced in with slabs, until the claim or property is exhausted, and then hold a general washing-up. This system of working is called "paddocking." 3, record 4, English, - paddock
