The native vegetation of much of the [prairies] is referred to as mixed grass prairie, a mixture of warm-season and cool-season perennial grasses and other species. In warm dry areas and in warm dry years, the warm-season grasses do best. In cool wet areas and in cool wet years, the cool-season grasses do best. This allows the perennial stand to adjust to conditions each year. Disease of sugar beet caused by Peronospora farinosa (formerly P. schachtii). 4, record 11, English, - sugar%20beet%20downy%20mildew
Record number: 11, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Symptoms : All aboveground plant parts may be affected. Large, light green leaf spots develop on the upper leaf surfaces. Under moist conditions, a white to gray moldy appears on the lower or upper leaf surfaces. Affected leaves may wilt, then die. If environmental conditions become unfavorable for downy mildew, plants may show recovery by developing healthy leaves, or other pathogens may be encouraged. During fall wet periods, most young petioles or leaves are covered with a fungal growth that often moves into the crown. Crown infections may permit other root-decay organisms to invade the plant. Crown infection causes excessive leaf proliferation which in turn causes misshapen bulbs. 5, record 11, English, - sugar%20beet%20downy%20mildew

Didymella applanata, a fungus. The disease is found in western Oregon and Washington on red rasberry, ’Loganberry’, and ’Youngberry’. The ’Willamette’ cultivar of red raspberry is rapidly infected by spur blight but also is tolerant and can produce a satisfactory crop even if disease incidence is high. From early April mature black fruiting bodies(perithecia) can be found in the gray affected areas of cane tissue. Perithecia discharge ascospores during favorable(wet) weather, continuing perhaps until the end of June. Ascospores infect leaves on new shoots, but under very favorable conditions may infect young canes and laterals directly. 1, record 16, English, - spur%20blight

A metamorphic process occurring in a dry snowpack with a weak temperature gradient where branched and angular snow crystals decompose into rounded shapes. 11, record 26, English, - rounding
Record number: 26, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The rounding process builds rounded grains (rounds) which bond well to one another creating a snowpack (or layer) that is generally increasingly strong. 12, record 26, English, - rounding
Record number: 26, Textual support number: 2 CONT
The following conditions promote rounding: - A weak temperature gradient generally less than 1 degree C per 10 cm (which moves water vapour slowly from warm areas to cold). - Dense, tightly packed snow. - Small grains (which produce denser snow). - A high snow temperature, typically above -10 degrees C (which promotes weaker temperature gradients). 12, record 26, English, - rounding
Record number: 26, Textual support number: 3 CONT
As the temperatures penetrate the snowpack, it will promote rounding. [Example approved by the Avalanche Bulletin Terminology Standardization Committee.] 13, record 26, English, - rounding

equilibrium growth: This metamorphic process has always been believed to be driven by radius dependent vapor pressure gradients, but this is currently under investigation and is being re-thought by scientists. 14, record 26, English, - rounding
Record number: 26, Textual support number: 2 OBS
In older popular literature originating mostly from the United States, the term "equitemperature metamorphism" has been used to describe the process of generating rounded forms... Since temperature gradients largely determine the rate of growth(even in wet snow), and therefore the form,... and since "equitemperature" conditions are nearly impossible to have in dry alpine snow, [this] term is not recommended [and was replaced in the late 1980 by rounding]. 15, record 26, English, - rounding

Building Related Illness(BRI)... refers to a defined illness with a known causative agent resulting from exposure to the building air. While the causative agent can be chemical(e. g., formaldehyde), it is often biological. Typical sources of biological contaminants are humidification systems, cooling towers, drain pans or filters, other wet surfaces, or water damaged building material. Symptoms may be specific or mimic symptoms commonly associated with the flu, including fever, chills, and cough. Serious lung and respiratory conditions can occur. Legionnaires’ disease, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and humidifier fever are common examples of building related illness. 7, record 29, English, - building%2Drelated%20illness

This equation used a psychrometric constant of 0. 5. This constant takes into account the type of psychrometer that is used to measure the temperatures. A constant of 0. 5 is valid for the Assmann aspiration psychrometer which uses a motor driven fan to induce evaporation. This method is subject to increasing errors with higher temperatures. It is most useful in applications which are close to ambient conditions. Psychrometric charts are also available which give moisture levels based on the wet and dry bulb temperatures. 3, record 47, French, - constante%20psychrom%C3%A9trique

Dynamic adsorption. The most common mode of adsorptive separation process employs a fixed bed, cyclic operation. As the wet process stream enters the fresh molecular-sieve bed, the water vapor is adsorbed in a finite length of bed called a mass-transfer zone(MTZ), the bed length through which the concentration of the adsorbate is reduced from essentially inlet to outlet conditions. As wet gas continues to flow, the bed may be divided into three distinct zones; the dynamic equilibrium zone with inlet gas, the MTZ, and the remaining active zone. In most molecular-adsorption systems, the MTZ becomes stabilized because of its favorable isotherm and moves at a constant speed. The bed is exhausted when the leading edge of the MTZ reaches the outlet end of the bed. High effective capacity results from high dynamic equilibrium capacity and a short MTZ. 1, record 55, English, - dynamic%20adsorption

Optional MFD gives you four wheel pulling for the extra traction and reduces rolling resistance needed to keep going in wet, rough, soft or hilly conditions. Further it assists in maintaining positive steering control in adverse field conditions. Operated in conjunction with standard differential lock, mechanical front wheel drive helps control wheel slippage in spots where 2-wheel drive tractors may slip and skid. 1, record 66, English, - mechanical%20front%20wheel%20drive
