There are two main types of glazed earthenware. One is covered with a transparent lead glaze; when the earthenware body to which this glaze is applied has a cream colour, the product is called creamware. The second type, covered with an opaque white tin glaze, is variously called tin-enameled, or tin-glazed, earthenware... 2, record 1, English, - glazed%20earthenware

Tin-glazed earthenware, earthenware covered with an opaque glaze that, unless colour has been added, is white.... Essentially it is lead glaze made opaque by the addition of tin oxide; tin glaze was no doubt originally devised to conceal flaws of colour in a fired-clay body. Tin-glazed ware is usually decorated with high-temperature colours. 1, record 2, English, - tin%2Dglazed%20earthenware
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The term "faience" originally designated tin-glazed earthenware made in France, but was later used to designated tin-glazed earthenware made in other countries, such as Spain, Scandinavia and Germany. This term does not designate tin-glazed earthenware made in Italy, the Netherlands or England, which are called majolica, delftware and English delftware, respectively. 3, record 2, English, - tin%2Dglazed%20earthenware

CSAR. Microgravity Sciences provided researchers and scientists from Canadian industry and universities with low-cost, high-quality microgravity flight opportunities aboard the Canadian Space Agency Rocket(CSAR), a Black Brandt rocket developed by Bristol Aerospace Ltd. The first rocket, CSAR-1, was launched in March 1992 and carried five experiments; CSAR-2 was launched in December 1994 and also carried five experiments. Both launches took place at the White Sands Missile Range in White Sands, New Mexico. The Canadian experiments onboard, subjected to six minutes of high-quality microgravity conditions, were designed to advance our understanding of the processes and behaviours of materials, which may lead Canada to improving product manufacturing on Earth and enhancing the development of erosion-resistant materials. 2, record 7, English, - Canadian%20Space%20Agency%20rocket

CSAR. 1, record 7, French, - fus%C3%A9e%20d%27exp%C3%A9rimentation%20de%20l%27Agence%20spatiale%20canadienne

Doctors expect the HIV test to lead to therapies that totally control the virus and completely halt its progression to AIDS. The test can pinpoint the waste products of the virus's replication. These consist of small loops or "circles" of viral DNA that can be found in white blood cells. By detecting and tracking the circles it is possible to show that the virus is alive. 1, record 31, English, - HIV%20diagnosing%20test

The colder the temperature the wider the cracks may open. Sudden drops in temperature do not appear to increase the appearance or width of cracks when compared with slow temperature changes. Soil moisture levels do not appear to affect ’frost cracking’ of previously ’frost crack’ injured trees, while wrapping or painting(using a white latex paint) appear to reduce this problem. In addition, wrapping and painting reduce sunscald, a trunk injury which may lead to frost cracking in future years. ’Frost cracks’ start from old wounds resulting from trunk injury, branch stubs, basal sprouts or root death. 1, record 33, English, - frost%20crack

5, record 34, French, - peinture%20%C3%A0%20la%20c%C3%A9ruse
