La source Time-Life CUIMO-2F, 1974, Vol. 2 traduit le terme anglais popover par pet de nonne. Elle se trompe. Les pets-de-nonne sont des beignets cuits dans la grande friture (confirmé par SUPERCHEF (avec photo), LAGAS-F 1984 et Jehane Benoît (BENCU 1969). Cette dernière conserve le terme popovers dans son édition française.
