The Saskatoon Youth Orchestra(SYO) was established in 1958 by Murray Adaskin, with the financial support of the Saskatoon Kiwanis Club, as the Saskatoon Junior Symphony. The group was, for many years, closely associated with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra(SSO). The current organization dates from 1983 when Wayne Toews and George Charpentier worked with a committee of parents to develop an independent incorporated organization. A dedicated group of parents runs the organization which has been expanded to include a preparatory string group and a Double Bass program.

YCKC actively promotes the sport of canoeing and kayaking in the Yukon. Not only does the club organize events like the annual Whitehorse Whitewater Rodeo, it also has a youth kayaking program and is in the process of establishing an urban whitewater recreational park(along with the Yukon Energy Corporation, City of Whitehorse and other organizations). This club's mandate is to promote the sport of paddling and the executive will do their best to bring programs that will be for both adults and youths, from beginners to experienced veterans.

The Tide Mini Soccer Program is a fully sanctioned development program operated under the auspices of the Canadian Soccer Association, it's member provincial associations, regional, local and club members. In a noncompetitive environment, the Mini Soccer Program is designed to promote and teach the following : Basic Soccer Skills, Fair Play, Fun, Good Sportsmanship and Teamwork. Mini Soccer is an internationally recognized youth development program targeted at children between the ages of 5 and 10.
