BC Society of Transition Houses(BCSTH) is a centre of excellence enhancing the continuum of services and strategies necessary to end violence against women, youth and children. BCSTH is a non-profit association of Transition, Second and Third Stage Houses, Safe Homes, Children Who Witness Abuse Programs and other groups which serve the needs of women and their children fleeing violence.

The Department of Justice(DOJ), in collaboration with the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police(CACP), is pleased to present the Minister of Justice National Youth Justice Policing Award. The award honours police officers, both individually or as a team, whose innovative approach to dealing with youth and youth crime reflects and is consistent with the goals of the Youth Justice Renewal Initiative, of which the Youth Criminal Justice Act is a key element. This award recognizes excellence and innovation in youth initiatives by all sworn police officers from federal, provincial, municipal, military and railway police services in Canada.

Le ministère de la Justice (MJ), en collaboration avec l'Association canadienne des chefs de police (ACCP), est heureux de présenter le Prix national du maintien de l'ordre dans le domaine de la justice pour les jeunes. Ce prix souligne le travail des policiers, qui, individuellement ou en équipe, ont adopté à l'égard des jeunes et de la criminalité chez les jeunes des approches innovatrices conformes aux objectifs de l'Initiative sur le renouvellement du système de justice pour les jeunes. La nouvelle Loi sur le système de justice pénale pour les adolescents est un élément clé de cette Initiative. Le prix reconnaît l'excellence et l'innovation dans les initiatives pour les jeunes menées par tous les policiers sous serment des services fédéraux, provinciaux, municipaux, militaires et ferroviaires au Canada.
