A chemical product which appears under the form of a white, crystalline solid, is soluble in acetone, is insoluble in water, alcohol, carbon tetrachloride, and carbon disulfide, is slightly soluble in methanol and ether, is derived by reaction of hexamethylenetetramine with concentrated nitric acid, is toxic by inhalation and skin contact, and, being 1.5 times as powerful as TNT, is used as an explosive, for example as the main charge in jet-perforating guns. 14, record 1, English, - 1%2C3%2C5%2Dtrinitro%2D1%2C3%2C5%2Dtriazinane
