OBS

Roman, Greek, Cyril­lic, Thai, Arabic and Hebrew are alphabetic, but the latter two are defec­tive, i.e. mainly con­sonant scripts. In (alphabetic) Kore­an, letters are graphi­cally organized in roughly square syllab­ic units.
