Les fleurs, blanches ou roses, sont réunies en corymbes ou en panicules ombelliformes, les fleurs stériles étant généralement plus grandes que les fleurs fertiles; à la fin de l'été, chacun des fruits rouges prend brusquement et tour à tour une teinte noire.
