Sphincter urinaire artificiel. En cas de lésion sévère du sphincter, le soutien de l'urètre ne peut suffire à assurer une bonne continence et il faut donc mettre en place un sphincter artificiel. La partie active du sphincter est une manchette qui entoure l'urètre, et qui est dégonflée manuellement pour uriner. La manchette se referme automatiquement en une ou deux minutes. Le sphincter est entièrement implanté sous la peau et il est invisible.
