Il s'agit d'un nouveau poste au Centre des pêches du Golfe. Par suite de la fusion de la Région du Golfe et de la Région Scotia-Fundy en une seule région, soit la Région des Maritimes, il n'y a plus de directeur général régional à Moncton.
