Some changes include modifications to the application or system availability schedules, rather than hardware or software changes. When the installation of a change requires exclusive control of a resource and its related products, change control procedures must compare the scheduled date/time to the appropriate availability schedules to prevent unscheduled outages. This includes the means to relate schedules to service-level agreements, such as availability commitments.
