The British Columbia Chamber of Commerce, known to be in operation as early as 1867, was reestablished in 1951. The British Columbia Chamber of Commerce was established to: Develop a true section of opinions of the British Columbia business community, and effectively present these opinions to the government. Promote trade and commerce and improve the economic and human well being of the people of British Columbia and Canada.
