En filature à rotor, le briseur délivre à sa sortie des fibres individuelles qui bénéficieront ensuite de l'étirage et du doublage de la turbine. [...] Le mécanisme de formation du fil n'est possible que parce que la vitesse d'extraction de la bandelette tordue est bien inférieure à la vitesse de dépôt des fibres dans le rotor. On a ainsi un doublage à l'intérieur même du rotor. Ceci est appelé «back-doubling» et explique l'excellent pouvoir mélangeur et régulateur de la turbine.
