A battery desulphator ... is designed to reverse the build up of sulphate crystals on the electrodes that occurs when a battery’s charge is drained and recharged during normal working cycles. The deeper a battery is discharged, the more lead sulphate is likely to crystalise on the lead plates, insulating the plate area and reducing contact with electrolyte. This sulphate build up inhibits the electrochemical reaction that produces current, preventing the battery from delivering current effectively, and can eventually cause a battery to fail prematurely.

Le désulfateur [...] peut rendre vos batteries usagées ou rendues à faibles capacités en des batteries plus vitales avec de plus grandes capacités de stockage. Il envoie de fortes secousses d'électricité à travers vos batteries pour briser les cristaux de sulfates accumulés, en les recombinant avec de l'acide de la batterie.Les cristaux de sulfate se forment lorsque la batterie est utilisée [...] ou lorsque les cycles de charges et décharges ne sont pas bien adaptés. Ces cristaux de sulfate agissent comme des isolants à l'écoulement de l'électricité dans la batterie. Ils peuvent sérieusement dégrader la capacité de la batterie à avoir des flux, réduisant sa capacité de charge et de décharge.
