BICYCLE MULTI-BLADED WIND MACHINE [1 record]

Record 1 2006-09-22

English

Subject field(s)
  • Electric Rotary Machines - Types
  • Wind Energy
DEF

A former multiblade wind turbine designed in the United States possessing thin airfoils spreading between a metal ring-like wheel and a hub, the whole structure giving the appearance of a bicycle wheel.

OBS

See "bicycle multi-bladed [horizontal-axis wind machines]" in "Home Wind Power," published in 1981 by the US Department of Energy (page 69).

French

Domaine(s)
  • Machines tournantes électriques - types
  • Énergie éolienne
DEF
