A manufacturer may apply for Manufacturer's AND Capability Approval simultaneously. However he must firstly achieve Manufacturer's Approval in accordance with EN 100114-1. He then prepares in a Capability Manual a description of the scope of his proposed Capability Approval which defines the technologies or range of components he intends to manufacture with reference to the relevant CECC Generic or Sectional specification.
