The Centre for Health Promotion (CHP) uses a life stages approach and is responsible for implementing policies and programs that enhance the conditions within which healthy development takes place. Through action founded on the principles of population and public health, the Centre addresses the determinants of health and facilitates successful movement through the life stages. The Centre acts through programs addressing healthy child development, families, aging and lifestyles, public information and education, as well as issues related to rural health and support of the voluntary sector. Le Centre pour la promotion de la santé (CPS) utilise une approche fondée sur les différentes étapes de la vie et est responsable de la mise en œuvre des politiques et des programmes qui favorisent les conditions au sein desquelles le développement de la santé se produit. Moyennant des mesures fondées sur les principes de la santé de la population et de la santé publique, le Centre aborde les déterminants de la santé et facilite l'épanouissement au sein des étapes de la vie. Le Centre met en œuvre des programmes qui portent sur le développement sain des enfants, les familles, le vieillissement et les styles de vie, l'information et l'éducation publique ainsi que les questions liées à la santé rurale et au soutien du secteur bénévole. University of Toronto. The Centre for Health Promotion is an extra-departmental unit of the Department of Public Health Sciences, in the Faculty of Medicine, at the University of Toronto. It was established in 1989 as a result of efforts of faculty and students in the Division of Community Health, and was funded initially through the Bertha Rosenstadt Endowment Fund.
