In the paper industry, one of the rolls used in cutting the paper sheet.

Web cut-off and transfer. As the winding log approaches its last sheet needed to make one log (correct count), the bed roll and chopper roll rotate so that they are in the correct position to cut the sheet.

Le poste de coupe transversal comporte soit : un couteau encastré dans un cylindre tournant qui vient en contact avec un couteau fixe (...) . Deux couteaux mobiles synchronisés (deux cylindres coupeurs (...) dispositif qui d'après les constructeurs donne une meilleure précision de coupe et évite refoulement ou déchirures de la feuille. Il est particulièrement recommandé pour les matériaux épais.
