Soudage à la molette (ou galet). Une machine à molettes est une machine à souder dans laquelle les électrodes, ou au moins l'une d'elles, sont remplacées par des molettes, ou petites roues qui, en tournant, entraînent les tôles. La machine se compose essentiellement de deux bras portant chacun un galet. - Soudage transversal : Les galets sont placés perpendiculairement à chaque bras. Le sens de déplacement des tôles est donc perpendiculaire au plan des bras. [...] L'avance des tôles est commandée par la rotation des galets. Il peuvent être tous deux moteurs mais, le plus souvent, seul le galet supérieur est moteur : il entraîne la tôle qui, à son tour, entraîne le galet inférieur.
