OBS

The Canadian Climate Program has three major activities: (a) climate data and application, (b) the impacts of climate on society, and (c) climate research. These activities span several government departments. To coordinate them a Climate Planning Board has been set up, composed of senior managers, supported by a Climate Advisory Committee composed of representatives from federal and provincial government departments, universities, and the private sector, who provide or use climate information. The Board and the Committee met for the first time in 1979 and proposed to develop the CCP [Canadian Climate Program] through an inventory of Canadian activities and a series of workshops.
