Canadian Coordinating Office for Health Technology Assessment. The Common Drug Review (CDR) is a single process for reviewing new drugs and providing formulary listing recommendations to participating publicly-funded federal, provincial and territorial (F/P/T) drug benefit plans in Canada. All jurisdictions are participating except Quebec. The objectives of the CDR are to: Provide a consistent and rigorous approach to drug reviews and an evidence-based listing recommendation; reduce duplication of efforts by drug plans; maximise the use of limited resources and expertise and provide equal access to the same high level of evidence and expert advice by all participating plans.

Office canadien de coordination de l'évaluation des technologies de la santé. Le Programme commun d'évaluation des médicaments (PCEM) est une initiative pancanadienne mise de l'avant par les régimes d'assurance-médicaments fédéral, provinciaux et territoriaux participants. Le Québec est la seule province qui n'adhère pas au PCEM. Le PCEM a pour objectif de réduire le dédoublement des tâches, d'optimiser l'utilisation des ressources limitées et de l'expertise, et de rehausser l'uniformité et la qualité du processus d'examen des médicaments.
