The transduction of two genes by one phage into the same recipient cell is called cotransduction. Cotransduction frequencies can be used for fine mapping of genes. The cotransduction of markers on opposite ends of the map derived from conjugation is part of the evidence that most bacterial chromosomes are actually circular. 1, record 1, English, - cotransduction

1, record 1, French, - cotransduction

The simultaneous transduction of two or more genes because the transduced element contains more than one locus. (KIDIG) 1, record 2, English, - cotransduction
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
... if two markers are cotransduced with high frequency they are considered to be closely linked, whereas if they are never cotransduced they are probably separated by a length of DNA that is at least as long as one phage chromosome. (GOLGE p. 412) 1, record 2, English, - cotransduction

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
(LISYL p. 2.58) 1, record 2, French, - cotransduction
