OBS

Project under way by the federal Ministry of the Solicitor General, in co-operation with the Department of Justice and several provinces. The project is aimed at providing prosecutors with better information about what type of cases will meet the dangerous offender criteria and result in a successful dangerous offender application. It will also identify the types of information necessary for the assessment and prediction of the risk of future violence.

Projet entrepris par le ministère fédéral du Solliciteur général en collaboration avec le ministère de la Justice et plusieurs provinces. Le projet vise à fournir aux procureurs de meilleurs renseignements sur les causes qui satisferont aux critères relatifs aux criminels dangereux et permettront de présenter une demande à laquelle les tribunaux accéderont.
