Édifice construit en fer et en verre par sir J. Paxton pour la première Exposition universelle, à Londres (1851). Érigé dans Hyde Park, transféré (1852-1854) à Sydenham, dans la banlieue sud de Londres, il fut détruit par un incendie en 1936. En 1920, un musée de l'armée y avait été installé.
