Death gratuity. Where an employee who is not a participant under the Death Benefit Plan dies while in the Public Service after having been at least two years therein, an amount equal to salary for two months shall be paid to the surviving spouse or, if there is no surviving spouse, to the estate or to such other person as Treasury Board determines.

Gratification de décès. Lorsqu'un employé qui n'est pas participant au régime de prestation de décès décède après avoir été un employé de la fonction publique pendant au moins deux ans, un montant égal à son traitement pour deux mois doit être versé au conjoint survivant ou s'il n'y en a pas, à la succession ou encore à la personne que désigne le Conseil du Trésor.
