A rational design approach including the following two steps is necessary for proper geotextile design: 1. Identify the mechanisms through which the geotextile is expected to perform in the considered application, and identify geotextile properties governing these mechanisms (selection of appropriate test methods to evaluate these properties would be an important part of this step; ...). 2. Determine the required values of the geotextile properties by using a method of design. 3, record 1, English, - design

2, record 1, French, - dimensionnement
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT
3, record 1, French, - dimensionnement

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
4, record 3, French, - marquage
